This is my first coil bowl. It took me about three days to complete. Compared to my first bowl/pot, this bowl is more smoothed and rounded. There are no cracks on this piece. To make the coil bowl, first I took some clay and made a flattened/rounded base. Next I took a chunk of clay and rolled in into the shape of a snake about as thick as my pinky. Then I cut it to the correct size and placed it onto the base of the bowl. I molded the coil onto the base by pushing them together and smoothing the sides. This process was continued until the last coil was placed.
